Ediberto Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Azevedo in the 13th minute of the match. Marquinhos Gaspar's late challenge caught a Risca Faca IMT's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marquinhos Gaspar helped the player get up and apologised. Marquinhos Gaspar hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, Palmeira's goalkeeper Ediberto Rossi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romário Aparecido. Ediberto Rossi was a little too slow when Paulo Renato Prestes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-0. Ediberto Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Renato Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Risca Faca IMT's Boruc Plaski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Saldanha in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to Palmeira getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. João Pedro Valladares hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, Paulo Renato Prestes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Palmeira's Ediberto Rossi didn't even have to move. Paulo Renato Prestes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Ediberto Rossi made a huge save. Ediberto Rossi didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 33rd minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Ediberto Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Renato Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 minutes Palmeira's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Paulo Renato Prestes who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Risca Faca IMT's corner Paulo Renato Prestes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ediberto Rossi quite easily take care of the ball. Boruc Plaski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Saldanha in the 44th minute of play. After 45 minutes of play, Palmeira's Adhemar Sá made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boruc Plaski was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mário Saldanha to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Arlindo Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boruc Plaski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Palmeira getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. João Pedro Valladares hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arlindo Messias got free with Boruc Plaski in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Risca Faca IMT's Boruc Plaski got control of the ball when Adhemar Sá tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Augusto Duarte hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Boruc Plaski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Saldanha in the 65th minute of the match. Risca Faca IMT made a substitution. 庄升强 replaced Iker Silviano. Palmeira made a substitution. Leo Carbol replaced Dorian de Souza. After 69 played minutes Risca Faca IMT got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo de Azevedo. Marquinhos Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Leopoldo Azevedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ediberto Rossi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Boruc Plaski didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 74th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. Boruc Plaski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlindo Messias, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After having played for 82 minutes, Paulo Renato Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Risca Faca IMT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Renato Prestes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adhemar Sá could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Boruc Plaski made a huge save. Romário Aparecido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ediberto Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
