A wasted opportunity for AF CERRADO. 10 minutes into the match, Sport Club do Recife's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Moreira came free, but Henrique Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Sport Club do Recife defense, Marcos Paulista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henrique Prata. The Sport Club do Recife fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrique Prata should have stopped the shot. Murilo Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Prata having to interfere. Arlindo Guedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After having played for 23 minutes, Antônio Carlos Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AF CERRADO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antônio Carlos Bueno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henrique Prata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 25th minute of play. Arlindo Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías Mota in the 27th minute of play. Anselmo Moraes spun around in front of the goal 32 minutes in the game and got away a good shot, but Arlindo Guedes grabbed the ball before it went up in top right corner. The supporters of Sport Club do Recife booed when AF CERRADO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Smits didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arlindo Guedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Havier, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Marcos Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Henrique Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 51 minutes of play, AF CERRADO's Róbson Bittencourt made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henrique Prata was left in no man's land by his defense there! Antônio Carlos Bueno took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henrique Prata. Henrique Prata dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Henrique Prata made an important save on a dangerous shot by Murilo Lucas in the 62nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henrique Prata saved Sport Club do Recife from getting behind. Murilo Lucas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Henrique Prata made a huge save. AF CERRADO's Arlindo Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Havier in the 81st minute of play. Thiago Damião struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Henrique Prata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AF CERRADO. If Murilo Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Murilo Lucas got free with Henrique Prata in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felix Smits's late challenge caught a Sport Club do Recife's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Smits helped the player get up and apologised. 94 minutes into the game, one of AF CERRADO:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Arlindo Guedes went to the wrong direction when Matías Mota was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 97 minutes into the match, Tomas Havier notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of AF CERRADO's Arlindo Guedes. Arlindo Guedes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match was over AF CERRADO could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sport Club do Recife throughout the match.
