Paulo Renato Prestes struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Henrique Prata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Risca Faca IMT. Leopoldo Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Henrique Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henrique Prata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The supporters of Sport Club do Recife booed when Risca Faca IMT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Renato Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Risca Faca IMT's Vitinho Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Havier in the 16th minute of play. When Victor Mandrak fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Club do Recife's protests and gave Victor Mandrak a yellow card for diving instead. Iker Silviano succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 21st playminute. Henrique Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Renato Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sport Club do Recife's goalkeeper Henrique Prata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Iker Silviano took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Henrique Prata to make any attempt to save it. Sport Club do Recife's Henrique Prata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Sport Club do Recife from getting a goal against them. Henrique Prata came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Risca Faca IMT's Romário Aparecido. But to his dismay, Romário Aparecido quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Risca Faca IMT's Vitinho Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Moraes in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Leopoldo Azevedo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Paulo Renato Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Prata having to interfere. Iker Silviano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Henrique Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romário Aparecido who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Henrique Prata when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romário Aparecido to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Renato Prestes in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henrique Prata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sport Club do Recife's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leopoldo Azevedo was slow to take the kick. During this time Risca Faca IMT's players had a chance to rest. Iker Silviano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the game, Risca Faca IMT's Paulo Renato Prestes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henrique Prata made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. When Risca Faca IMT's Romário Aparecido in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sport Club do Recife's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romário Aparecido in the 66th minute of play forced Sport Club do Recife's goalkeeper Henrique Prata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Havier got free with Vitinho Sarmento in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Risca Faca IMT's Romário Aparecido in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 77th minute Iker Silviano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrique Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Azevedo in the 83rd minute of the match. Leopoldo Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Renato Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Risca Faca IMT's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
