With an extended leg and a bit of luck Markus Pflüger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Markus Pflüger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Kulaš in the 16th minute of play. The corner led to CRICIÚMA E.C.'s Jaime Cordeiro getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. A hard shot by Rodolfo Castro from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Toninho Cardozo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 22nd minute Rodolfo Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toninho Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnaldo Lizer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toninho Cardozo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. CRICIÚMA E.C.'s Toninho Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Costa in the 64th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karol Smolarek during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Du Esporte Clube made a substitution. Roger Albuquerque replaced Arnaldo Lizer. If 雷钢青 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Roger Albuquerque got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 95 minutes of play, Du Esporte Clube's Paulo-Eduardo do Nascimento made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Toninho Cardozo was left in no man's land by his defense there!
