Hugo Barreto started the match with the kick off. The audience was convinced that Hugo Barreto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Percy Paiva was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's Cléber Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Maxaranguape - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Barreto in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Percy Paiva saved Scragbadun FC from getting behind. Tomé Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Maxaranguape - FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Scragbadun FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cacá Ramos took the corner. In the 20th minute Ingvar Wallin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléber Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute Scragbadun FC were awarded a corner. Anísio de Alcântara went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Anísio de Alcântara got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cléber Souza quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugo Barreto in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Percy Paiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Percy Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Hugo Barreto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Percy Paiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Hugo Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st match minute, Maxaranguape - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arí Paiva to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute Reinaldo Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléber Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robbie Lefevere charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robbie Lefevere the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th minute, Robbie Lefevere hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tomé Araújo came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Scragbadun FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomé Araújo couldn't finish the play. Percy Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 46th match minute, Maxaranguape - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário de Amaral to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomé Araújo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Percy Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Barreto in the 54th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Barreto in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Percy Paiva saved Scragbadun FC from getting behind. If Hugo Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the game, Dráuzio Moreno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scragbadun FC the free kick. A collision led to Maxaranguape - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Dráuzio Moreno hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Scragbadun FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Barreto came free, but Percy Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Barreto in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Percy Paiva saved Scragbadun FC from getting behind. Cléber Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Custódio in the 66th minute of play. Ingvar Wallin's late challenge caught a Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ingvar Wallin helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Scragbadun FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Ingvar Wallin hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Scragbadun FC's zone, Hugo Barreto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Percy Paiva came out of the goal and Hugo Barreto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hugo Barreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cléber Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomé Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the game, one of Scragbadun FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 80th minute Tomé Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléber Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ingvar Wallin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Cléber Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Percy Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arí Paiva in the 85th minute of the match. In the 86th minute of the match Maxaranguape - FSCMZ got a corner. Scragbadun FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cacá Ramos ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Dráuzio Moreno got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Percy Paiva quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnt Aronsen during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arnt Aronsen hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute, Arí Paiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Percy Paiva was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Maxaranguape - FSCMZ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
