Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo-Eduardo do Nascimento in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edinho Pirani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arnaldo Lizer was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Markus Pflüger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zico Orange in the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Zico Orange left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Du Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Markus Pflüger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 18 minutes Du Esporte Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Raí Orange who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's corner Casemiro Orange fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Markus Pflüger quite easily take care of the ball. When Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Zico Orange in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Du Esporte Clube's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Zico Orange's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Markus Pflüger was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Pedrinho Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Markus Pflüger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Raí Orange got a free kick in the 61st minute. Zico Orange's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Markus Pflüger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Zico Orange kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Markus Pflüger. That made the score 0-2 in the 65 minute of play. Edu Cavalcante was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 94 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the game, one of Du Esporte Clube:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Markus Pflüger, was totally fooled by Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Hudson de Godoi, who 96 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
