Green Academy's Vinícius Olgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldão Félix in the 23rd minute of play. Vinícius Olgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavinho Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Green Academy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Umberto Moreno was slow to take the kick. During this time Galo na Veia FC™'s players had a chance to rest. In the 29th minute, Mário Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomás Garcia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horácio Donato read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Vinícius Olgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfried Spaniol in the 37th minute of play. Gerson Nascimento lost his temper 40 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Gerson Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Umberto Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galo na Veia FC™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Umberto Moreno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinícius Olgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flavinho Rosado in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinícius Olgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thomás Garcia's late challenge caught a Galo na Veia FC™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thomás Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes Green Academy got a freekick which was hit by Thomás Garcia. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Wilfried Spaniol made the kick off in the second half. Vinícius Olgado made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Wilfried Spaniol sent off a good shot on target. After 53 minutes Green Academy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Umberto Moreno who took care of the corner kick. Galo na Veia FC™'s Umberto Moreno was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vinícius Olgado in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfried Spaniol in the 59th minute of play forced Green Academy's goalkeeper Vinícius Olgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavinho Rosado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vinícius Olgado came out and tried to block the shot, but Flavinho Rosado slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 61st minute. In the 68th minute Galo na Veia FC™ were awarded a corner. Umberto Moreno went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Galo na Veia FC™'s corner Umberto Moreno fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vinícius Olgado quite easily take care of the ball. Charles Vergílio charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charles Vergílio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 70 played minutes Green Academy got a freekick which was hit by Charles Vergílio. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilfried Spaniol got free with Vinícius Olgado in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After taking down the ball on Galo na Veia FC™'s corner Umberto Moreno fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vinícius Olgado quite easily take care of the ball. Galo na Veia FC™ played a much better game than Green Academy and deserved their victory. The Green Academy players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
