Saad Dar was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Athletico Paulistano's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Club Athletico Paulistano's Glauco da Rocha to fire away a dangerous shot which Andrézinho Viana despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Andrézinho Viana came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Club Athletico Paulistano's Fabinho dos Santos. But to his dismay, Fabinho dos Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabinho dos Santos to make the kick off. Andrézinho Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabinho dos Santos in the 95th minute of play. Club Athletico Paulistano's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
