The supporters of Vertiplano FC booed when BlacK & BlueS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronan Clavel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the BlacK & BlueS defense, Edmílson Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matías Domingues. The BlacK & BlueS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matías Domingues should have stopped the shot. Matías Domingues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmílson Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. BlacK & BlueS's Matías Domingues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save BlacK & BlueS from getting a goal against them. BlacK & BlueS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tostão Céleste in the 23rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alessandro Prado in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matías Domingues saved BlacK & BlueS from getting behind. In the 26th minute of the match, Chris Hudson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Matías Domingues was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernandinho Rodrigues helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to BlacK & BlueS getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Fernandinho Rodrigues hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, BlacK & BlueS's Tostão Céleste sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iuri Silva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ramiro Pinheiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Matías Domingues made a huge save. Iuri Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandinho Rodrigues in the 44th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
