In the 3rd minute Cãtãlin Hâldan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Augusto Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Uberlandia-DMZ's Pedro Freitas got a free kick in the 8th minute. Cãtãlin Hâldan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Augusto Duarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Uberlandia-DMZ's Zé Augusto Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Uberlandia-DMZ from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the match, Patrick Cunha dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zé Augusto Duarte, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Freitas in the 18th minute of play forced SELEVASCO's goalkeeper Nico Pizzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 21 minutes into the game, when Severino Vides put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Uberlandia-DMZ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! Patrick Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zé Augusto Duarte was a little too slow when Renato Paraíba got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 2-0. Zé Augusto Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Paraíba, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Cãtãlin Hâldan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Zé Augusto Duarte made a huge save. Zé Augusto Duarte made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Patrick Cunha sent off a good shot on target. In the 33rd minute, Renato Paraíba fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Zé Augusto Duarte, passed just outside the right post. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Cãtãlin Hâldan put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Zé Augusto Duarte. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Cunha got free with Zé Augusto Duarte in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zé Augusto Duarte made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Cãtãlin Hâldan sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Patrick Cunha made the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Gernando Leite mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SELEVASCO and the Uberlandia-DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SELEVASCO getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Gernando Leite hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Pedro Paulo Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 59 minutes, Renato Paraíba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SELEVASCO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renato Paraíba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zé Augusto Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cãtãlin Hâldan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Augusto Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cãtãlin Hâldan in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Renato Paraíba made a precise shot to the right of Zé Augusto Duarte. Uberlandia-DMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrick Cunha in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Augusto Duarte saved Uberlandia-DMZ from getting behind. In the 72nd minute Renato Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Augusto Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Cãtãlin Hâldan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Augusto Duarte. Uberlandia-DMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cãtãlin Hâldan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After a rather tough play, Uberlandia-DMZ's Cido Pitta got a free kick in the 77th minute. After 81 played minutes SELEVASCO got a freekick which was hit by Acácio Queirós. When Samuel Pontes came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Uberlandia-DMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Pontes couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrick Cunha in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Augusto Duarte saved Uberlandia-DMZ from getting behind. When SELEVASCO's Renato Paraíba in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uberlandia-DMZ's goalie prevented a goal. Pedro Paulo Bueno charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Paulo Bueno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th minute, Samuel Pontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Uberlandia-DMZ's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Duarte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Renato Paraíba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SELEVASCO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. When the referee ended the match the SELEVASCO players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
