Eduardo Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dany-Adams De Scheper in the 3rd minute of the match. Internazionale-RS's Stefan Neubrandt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Rodrigues in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Internazionale-RS's Rogelio Lynch got a free kick in the 7th minute. Eduardo Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dany-Adams De Scheper in the 10th minute of play. The corner ended in Dany-Adams De Scheper almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Inter Gala's Eduardo Baiano did a great save. Inter Gala's Eduardo Baiano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Inter Gala from getting a goal against them. Eduardo Baiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Augusto Alves in the 16th minute. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Pedro Augusto Alves took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Eduardo Baiano to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Augusto Alves got free with Eduardo Baiano in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Trigo in the 22nd minute of play forced Inter Gala's goalkeeper Eduardo Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Internazionale-RS's Pedro Augusto Alves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eduardo Baiano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stefan Neubrandt came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Inter Gala's Cristóvão Ribeiro. But to his dismay, Cristóvão Ribeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Cristóvão Ribeiro hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Eduardo Baiano made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Pedro Augusto Alves sent off a good shot on target.

Inter Gala's Heinz Stalder was substituted for Jaime Rodrigues. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Heinz Stalder stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Pedro Augusto Alves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eduardo Baiano. Inter Gala's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Augusto Alves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rogelio Lynch in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Baiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eduardo Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Augusto Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inter Gala's Dênis Cavalcante was substituted for Alfredão Brasil. Internazionale-RS's Alan Tavares was substituted for Rogelio Lynch. Stefan Neubrandt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heinz Stalder, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 88 minutes into the game, Pedro Augusto Alves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Eduardo Baiano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Inter Gala's Edgar Souto got a free kick in the 94th minute.
