After some careless play in the Capivara defense, Freddy Basajaun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 狄雄鸿. The Capivara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 狄雄鸿 should have stopped the shot. If Ataman Melik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 minutes, Stacey Crowe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Joinville S.German-FSCMZ and the Capivara players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Joinville S.German-FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stacey Crowe to maneuver through the defense. Capivara's 狄雄鸿 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Basajaun in the 41st minute of play. Benny Stolpe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 狄雄鸿 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Basajaun in the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Capivara's 狄雄鸿 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Capivara from getting a goal against them. Benny Stolpe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Cosme in the 64th minute of play. Freddy Basajaun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without 狄雄鸿 having to make a save. Sandro Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Capivara's 狄雄鸿 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Capivara from getting a goal against them. Benny Stolpe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elias Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Joinville S.German-FSCMZ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
