Freddy Basajaun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laércio Trigo having to interfere. Stacey Crowe got a throw-in 20 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Freddy Basajaun. Deportivo Craques fc's Laércio Trigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Craques fc from getting a goal against them. If Freddy Basajaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Deportivo Craques fc's Laércio Trigo got control of the ball when Freddy Basajaun tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benny Stolpe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Floridong, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Osmar Velasco hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Freddy Basajaun got free with Laércio Trigo in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the match, Freddy Basajaun dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Laércio Trigo, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Craques fc's zone, Sandro Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laércio Trigo came out of the goal and Sandro Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sandro Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Van Nistelrooy to strike the kick off in the second half. Laércio Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Basajaun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the match, Freddy Basajaun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Laércio Trigo. Deportivo Craques fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Freddy Basajaun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 57th match minute, Joinville S.German-FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Basajaun to maneuver through the defense. Benny Stolpe came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Craques fc's Van Nistelrooy. But to his dismay, Van Nistelrooy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 63 minutes into the match, Deportivo Craques fc's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Basajaun came free, but Laércio Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Basajaun in the 71st minute of play forced Deportivo Craques fc's goalkeeper Laércio Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Van Nistelrooy charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Van Nistelrooy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michel Hazard in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal.
