Min Son's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doni das Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Esteban Gentza in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kaká Ramos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Xv de Piracicaba's Kaká Ramos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Xv de Piracicaba from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, Xv de Piracicaba's goalkeeper Kaká Ramos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anderson Vaz. After 28 minutes, Aírton Abreu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TEIXEIRINHA FC and the Xv de Piracicaba players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 28 played minutes TEIXEIRINHA FC got a freekick which was hit by Aírton Abreu. In the 30th minute Alfredo Rocchi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doni das Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Xv de Piracicaba's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Gentza came free, but Kaká Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 32 minutes on the clock, Ander Uibomäe commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Xv de Piracicaba:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of TEIXEIRINHA FC:s goal. Xv de Piracicaba:s Kaká Ramos showed great skill when he stopped José Maria Ceresso:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Gentza in the 38th minute of play forced Xv de Piracicaba's goalkeeper Kaká Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doni das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Menezes, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Jeronimo Txatxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Doni das Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Esteban Gentza kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Kaká Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anderson Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rdth minute of the game Esteban Gentza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xv de Piracicaba's Kaká Ramos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Váldson Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doni das Neves made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Ramon Menezes sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st minute, Ramon Menezes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Min Son struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Doni das Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xv de Piracicaba.
