Despite this José Paulo Romero quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s José Paulo Romero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s zone, Vito Batista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Paulo Romero came out of the goal and Vito Batista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vito Batista got free with José Paulo Romero in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s attentive Laércio Saldanha managed to snatch the ball when Alfredão Monteiro made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. José Paulo Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Vergílio in the 26th minute of play. Jânio Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Negri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Amadeu Vergílio scored to the left of an out of position José Paulo Romero, making the score, 1-0. Luiz Paulo Dionísio struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Jânio Paraíba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™. In the 43rd minute, Manuel Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amadeu Vergílio to strike the kick off in the second half. José Paulo Romero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amadeu Vergílio's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Mirel Kuli came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jânio Paraíba could save by the left post. ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s João Pedro Nogueira was substituted for Luiz Paulo Dionísio. ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s Agnaldo Araújo was substituted for Manuel Negri. ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line.
