Carroll Hathaway took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norbert Konopka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute Noel Velloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabinho Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carroll Hathaway showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norbert Konopka in the 9th minute of the match. Norbert Konopka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carroll Hathaway showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norbert Konopka, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Carroll Hathaway took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norbert Konopka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jipa RO were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Sipo EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Júlio Koehler took the corner. After taking down the ball on Jipa RO's corner Júlio Koehler fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Carroll Hathaway quite easily take care of the ball. Carroll Hathaway took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norbert Konopka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the game, one of Sipo EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Carroll Hathaway had in the 20thth minute some difficulties stopping Júlio Koehler's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Carroll Hathaway came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Jipa RO's Norbert Konopka. But to his dismay, Norbert Konopka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Norbert Konopka notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Sipo EC's Carroll Hathaway. Carroll Hathaway was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sipo EC's Carroll Hathaway played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Konopka in the 37th minute of play. Júlio Koehler made a great header on Jipa RO's corner, it was just that Sipo EC's Carroll Hathaway managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 46th minute Norbert Konopka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carroll Hathaway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Jipa RO were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elói Ferreira to strike the kick off in the second half. Carroll Hathaway showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norbert Konopka in the 53rd minute of the match. If Norbert Konopka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Norbert Konopka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jipa RO's supporters rose to their feet, but Norbert Konopka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carroll Hathaway breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carroll Hathaway made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Norbert Konopka sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norbert Konopka in the 63rd minute of play forced Sipo EC's goalkeeper Carroll Hathaway to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norbert Konopka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th minute Norbert Konopka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carroll Hathaway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Norbert Konopka dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Carroll Hathaway, 0-3. Jipa RO made a substitution. Haroldo Terra replaced Norbert Konopka. Jipa RO made a substitution. Jonathan Donato replaced Evair Gøl. Carroll Hathaway didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Jipa RO's Haroldo Terra shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-4 in the ordered_time% minute. Sipo EC's Elói Ferreira got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Haroldo Terra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carroll Hathaway having to make a save. In the 83rd minute Haroldo Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carroll Hathaway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carroll Hathaway made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haroldo Terra in the 84th minute. Carroll Hathaway made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Terra in the 86th minute of play. Haroldo Terra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carroll Hathaway having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Haroldo Terra got free with Carroll Hathaway in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jipa RO's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
