Romeu Guedes scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michel Neuer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 9th minute of the match, Rony Dudu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Petre Porumboiu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Er Håland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petre Porumboiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. In the 20th minute Romeu Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Neuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michel Neuer came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ypiranga FC's José Furlan. But to his dismay, José Furlan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Luizinho Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Neuer having to interfere. Michel Neuer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeu Guedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Bastos during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th minute, Joel Bastos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ypiranga FC's Petre Porumboiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Ypiranga FC from getting a goal against them. TaTeRo Boys's Er Håland got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Michel Neuer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeu Guedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Rony Dudu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petre Porumboiu was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 35th minute TaTeRo Boys were awarded a corner. Olívio Andrade went to the cornerflag to take it. Olívio Andrade made a great header on TaTeRo Boys's corner, it was just that Ypiranga FC's Petre Porumboiu managed to reach the ball for a save. Petre Porumboiu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Er Håland went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Er Hålands short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Petre Porumboiu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rony Dudu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Petre Porumboiu came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by TaTeRo Boys's Er Håland. But to his dismay, Er Håland quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Cyryl Imbor's late challenge caught a Ypiranga FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cyryl Imbor helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th match minute, TaTeRo Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyryl Imbor to maneuver through the defense. Marinho Perez charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marinho Perez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ypiranga FC booed when TaTeRo Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marinho Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romeu Guedes got free with Michel Neuer in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Endrik Halland in the 65th minute of play forced Ypiranga FC's goalkeeper Petre Porumboiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 4-3 when Raul Seixas sped through Ypiranga FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Petre Porumboiu. 71 minutes into the match, Ypiranga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rony Dudu came free, but Petre Porumboiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Ypiranga FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Petre Porumboiu should have stopped the shot. 80 minutes into the match, Ypiranga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Endrik Halland came free, but Petre Porumboiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
