The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gino Moreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Luís Guilherme Aparecido made a huge save. Rodrigo Quirino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Guilherme Aparecido having to make a save. Luís Guilherme Aparecido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Quirino in the 10th minute of play. João Augusto Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavril Jula, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Luís Guilherme Aparecido made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Gino Moreira sent off a good shot on target. After 37 minutes, Rodrigo Quirino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Porvir FC and the Rio Pardo MZC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 38 played minutes Porvir FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Quirino. 44 minutes into the match, Rio Pardo MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Quirino came free, but Luís Guilherme Aparecido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Augusto Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enéas Lago in the 46th minute of the match. When Edu França came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Porvir FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edu França couldn't finish the play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gino Moreira to strike the kick off in the second half. If Rodrigo Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 played minutes Rio Pardo MZC got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Gabriel Barros. In the 56th minute, Evandro Penha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Porvir FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Rio Pardo MZC's zone, Evandro Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Guilherme Aparecido came out of the goal and Evandro Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Porvir FC made a substitution. Claes Bjurström replaced Fábio Félix. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rio Pardo MZC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rodrigo Quirino was slow to take the kick. During this time Porvir FC's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Berti in the 72nd minute of play forced Porvir FC's goalkeeper João Augusto Soeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute of the match Rio Pardo MZC got a corner. Porvir FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Faruk Nafiz Hayal ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rio Pardo MZC's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Aparecido, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rodrigo Quirino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78thth minute of the game Gino Moreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rio Pardo MZC's Luís Guilherme Aparecido was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luís Guilherme Aparecido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gino Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The supporters of Porvir FC booed when Rio Pardo MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faruk Nafiz Hayal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodrigo Quirino might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Guilherme Aparecido. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gino Moreira struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Luís Guilherme Aparecido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Porvir FC. Rio Pardo MZC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
