An unexpectedly hard shot by Demetrio Cannata in the 16th minute of play forced Aster Brasil Futebol Club's goalkeeper Anísio Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anísio Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jardel Cabezon in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to EoDu Uai Sôccer getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Senen Tartales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anísio Souza having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Aster Brasil Futebol Club's zone, Jardel Cabezon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anísio Souza came out of the goal and Jardel Cabezon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the match, EoDu Uai Sôccer's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Nogueira came free, but José-Luis Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Gilberto Nogueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José-Luis Chilavert was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 32 minutes of play, Aster Brasil Futebol Club's Ernesto Toscano made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. EoDu Uai Sôccer's Hermínio Alves got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, EoDu Uai Sôccer's Anísio Souza threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Demetrio Cannata, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Aster Brasil Futebol Club's Anísio Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Aster Brasil Futebol Club from getting a goal against them. After 45 played minutes Aster Brasil Futebol Club got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Camargo. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Jardel Cabezon managed to get in a good position for a shot. EoDu Uai Sôccer's supporters rose to their feet, but Jardel Cabezon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anísio Souza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

In the 90th match minute, EoDu Uai Sôccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmílson Severo to maneuver through the defense. Anísio Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel Cabezon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. EoDu Uai Sôccer's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
