In the 13thth minute of the game Fausto Mendonça who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Romando Futebol Clube's Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Krzynowek in the 18th minute of play forced Romando Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Romando Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Mendonça came free, but Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fausto Mendonça was the one to do the kick off. Romando Futebol Clube's Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raigo Vananurm in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Romando Futebol Clube's Juninho Paulista got a free kick in the 61st minute. Romando Futebol Clube made a substitution. Niva Bellido replaced Valdomiro de Godoi. Scarlet Speedster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raigo Vananurm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Romando Futebol Clube's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
