In the 27th minute of the match Rio Verde F.C CIMZ got a corner. América-SC F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcos Siqueira ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Birol Celilay heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 39 minutes into the match, América-SC F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Marco Erauso came free, but Nestor Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amauri Félix made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabi Gol in the 44th minute. A nice corner shot did that Marcos Siqueira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nestor Quirino quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Marco Erauso might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nestor Quirino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The América-SC F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's performance. The match ended with a win for Rio Verde F.C CIMZ.
