Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alberto Velasco ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ladislao Gerazan got free with Lucas De Gea in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mickaël Maris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Krystian Orzechowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Club Sacode Football CIMZ's Lucas De Gea got control of the ball when Ladislao Gerazan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Ladislao Gerazan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lucas De Gea. Lucas De Gea yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. 34 minutes into the game, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Ladislao Gerazan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lucas De Gea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Velasco in the 37th minute of play. Mickaël Maris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberto Velasco in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mickaël Maris saved Nova Iguaçu MZFC from getting behind. A beautiful save bye Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalie prevented a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Mickaël Maris had in the 75thth minute some difficulties stopping Alberto Velasco's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to Nova Iguaçu MZFC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Zézinho Veloso hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Nova Iguaçu MZFC defense, Alberto Velasco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mickaël Maris. The Nova Iguaçu MZFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mickaël Maris should have stopped the shot. Andrézinho Vaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zézinho Veloso during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Zézinho Veloso got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when 余西振 got free with Mickaël Maris in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Andrézinho Vaz got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Brandur Hendrickson in the 97th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Valdo de Queirós. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Club Sacode Football CIMZ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
