After 11 played minutes Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Marko. In the 15th minute of the match Luiz Fábio de Medeiros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonardo Da Vinci skillfully saved the ball. If Horaţiu Măcrinici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
