Vladimir Prestes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Oliver Bierhoff's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladimir Prestes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. After 13 played minutes ADM Taquaras got a freekick which was hit by Herberto Ribas. Jeremias Moreno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baba Moco in the 15th minute. When UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C's Baba Moco in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ADM Taquaras's goalie prevented a goal. Jeremias Moreno stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baba Moco's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. ADM Taquaras's Jeremias Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baba Moco in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Baba Moco reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jeremias Moreno. The goal made the score 1-1. If Oliver Bierhoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wágner Leme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladimir Prestes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. 31 minutes into the game, ADM Taquaras's Wágner Leme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vladimir Prestes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The corner ended in Cido Cabral almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C's Vladimir Prestes did a great save. After 38 minutes of play, ADM Taquaras's Oliver Bierhoff made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vladimir Prestes was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 45th minute Oliver Bierhoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

53 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's goal looked a bit too open when Ferreirinha dos Santos came free, but Jeremias Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladimir Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Bierhoff in the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavinho Sousa in the 58th minute of play forced ADM Taquaras's goalkeeper Jeremias Moreno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ADM Taquaras's Nestor Soeiro was substituted for Cido Cabral. Áron Bódog made a great header on ADM Taquaras's corner, it was just that UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C's Vladimir Prestes managed to reach the ball for a save. Jeremias Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferreirinha dos Santos in the 73rd minute of play. Áron Bódog could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Vladimir Prestes made a huge save. In the 80th minute, Júlio Munhoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ADM Taquaras's Jeremias Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferreirinha dos Santos in the 82nd minute of play. Jeremias Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baba Moco, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Jeremias Moreno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavinho Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Baba Moco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeremias Moreno was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. The ADM Taquaras supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ADM Taquaras would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
