With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 34 played minutes Primatas FC got a freekick which was hit by Magno Borges. In the 36th match minute, Pesqueira City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josué Vaz to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Magno Borges in the 40th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Pesqueira City's Cristiano Bezerra. After 40 played minutes Primatas FC got a freekick which was hit by Jerônimo Guerra. 43 minutes into the game, Magno Borges threw the ball into play from the sideline. Pesqueira City's Cristiano Bezerra quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Benjamin da Fonseca succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 44th playminute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamin da Fonseca to make the kick off.
