With an all-out effort, Aston Birra's Pascual Ledesma threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mauro Corderall, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 5th minute of the match Aston Birra got a corner. Lazzarino FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lucas Txurio ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Arnoldo Lidon got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-0. 5 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute Mauro Corderall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascual Ledesma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nemesio Raymond charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nemesio Raymond the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 10 minutes into the match, Lazzarino FC's goalkeeper Pascual Ledesma had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnoldo Lidon. Nemesio Raymond was shown his second yellow card after 11 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Nemesio Raymond hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Arnoldo Lidon succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 13th playminute. If Celedonio Cesario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesar Ermano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Ramos in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Celedonio Cesario notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Aston Birra's Cesar Ermano. Cesar Ermano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mauro Corderall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Pascual Ledesma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Aston Birra's Lucas Txurio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pascual Ledesma narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Mauro Corderall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 39 minutes into the game, Humberto Iturri recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pascual Ledesma. Humberto Iturri showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Arnoldo Lidon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascual Ledesma having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celedonio Cesario made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Lazzarino FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Rito to maneuver through the defense. Arnoldo Lidon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 62 in the game by Celedonio Cesario from a close distance when the talented Cesar Ermano managed to make a qualified save. Aston Birra's players were relieved. 64 minutes into the match, Arnoldo Lidon notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Lazzarino FC's Pascual Ledesma. Pascual Ledesma was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Lazzarino FC booed when Aston Birra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Navarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesar Ermano came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Lazzarino FC's Celedonio Cesario. But to his dismay, Celedonio Cesario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. After 73 played minutes Lazzarino FC got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Rito. After 75 played minutes Lazzarino FC got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Frances. After a defensive mix-up in Lazzarino FC's zone, Lucas Txurio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pascual Ledesma came out of the goal and Lucas Txurio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aston Birra's Humberto Iturri got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aston Birra's Cesar Ermano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Aston Birra from getting a goal against them. After 81 minutes, Cleto Baladi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aston Birra and the Lazzarino FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd minute, Cleto Baladi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Corderall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnoldo Lidon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Aston Birra booed when Lazzarino FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Cesario didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnoldo Lidon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pascual Ledesma having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Lazzarino FC's zone, Humberto Iturri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pascual Ledesma came out of the goal and Humberto Iturri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aston Birra's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
