In the 12th match minute, Racing de Olavarría was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uğurcan Uluman to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Maore was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 12th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Severino Amato got free in front of the goal in the 14th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Bernardino Kaxen was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 17 minutes into the game, Froilan Tano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rosario's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racing de Olavarría the free kick. Froilan Tano kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. The supporters of Racing de Olavarría booed when Rosario was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Rioja didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristo Lapurdi was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 20th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rosario! 1-0 came through a penalty shot after 24 played minutes, when Racing de Olavarría:s Cristo Lapurdi calmly waited for Rosario:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. When Bartolo Che came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Rosario fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bartolo Che couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Che in the 32nd minute of play forced Racing de Olavarría's goalkeeper Ladislao Cuartio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Ignado hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Julio Tiadoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ladislao Cuartio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severino Amato scored 2-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernardino Kaxen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute, Julio Tiadoro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rosario fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Severino Amato received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bernardino Kaxen came out and tried to block the shot, but Severino Amato slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
The wind increased when Genaro Arnau made the kick off in the second half. Racing de Olavarría's Ladislao Cuartio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Racing de Olavarría from getting a goal against them. Gabriel Maore charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabriel Maore the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 52nd minute, Gabriel Maore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th match minute, Rosario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Raulo to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Rosario's Bartolo Che got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Federico Cisco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the game, Severino Amato cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Bernardino Kaxen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bernardino Kaxen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Amato in the 69th minute of the match. Gabriel Maore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernardino Kaxen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Severino Amato went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Genaro Arnau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Rosario's Bartolo Che got a free kick in the 86th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulino Gorbea during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Paulino Gorbea hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Ladislao Cuartio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Maore in the 91st minute of the match. Rosario's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
