Honorio Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ismael Tanio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorio Fernandez having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Isidro Chico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ismael Tanio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivan Chuan during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Saavedra getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ivan Chuan hit a great ball. Honorio Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Tanio in the 31st minute of the match. If Reynaldo Garci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Saavedra's Jacinto Peter threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcial Ihazintu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Saavedra's Honorio Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Chico in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Saavedra's goalkeeper Honorio Fernandez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcial Ihazintu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnulfo Paez kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. When Reynaldo Garci came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Saavedra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Garci couldn't finish the play. Baldomero Esdras could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Honorio Fernandez made a huge save. Jacinto Peter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Garci in the 61st minute of the match. Saavedra's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jacinto Peter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Garci in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Silverio Beila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, Saavedra's Antonio Eriz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Baldomero Esdras's late challenge caught a Saavedra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baldomero Esdras helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd minute, Baldomero Esdras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baldomero Esdras kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Saavedra's goal looked a bit too open when Isidro Chico came free, but Honorio Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
