Spectators: 7232 (Terracing: 5426, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nestor Sotero got the match started through his kick off. Cecilio Ladio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Sotero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 5 minutes into the match, Marines FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Balendin came free, but Aldo Garin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute, Maquinchao's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mel Raines fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cecilio Ladio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Sotero, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Cecilio Ladio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mel Raines went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Maquinchao's zone, Nestor Sotero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cecilio Ladio came out of the goal and Nestor Sotero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cecilio Ladio made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Ceferino Reno sent off a good shot on target. Marines FC's Aldo Garin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruperto Balendin in the 20th minute of play. Rickard Eliasson kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Thomas in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aldo Garin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Augusto Gora put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Maquinchao a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Epifanio Suero, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Marines FC's Aldo Garin. 1-1. Mel Raines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Maquinchao getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Elpidio Felo hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute Cristo Henric shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Garin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saturnino Ihintza kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After the first half Maquinchao were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anselmo Thomas was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Anselmo Thomas took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Aldo Garin to make any attempt to save it. Ruperto Balendin came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aldo Garin could save by the left post. 66 minutes into the game, Cristo Henric was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maquinchao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marines FC the free kick. After 67 played minutes Maquinchao got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Henric. After 68 played minutes Maquinchao got a freekick which was hit by Angel Urbes. Cecilio Ladio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mel Raines, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the match, Marines FC's goalkeeper Aldo Garin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruperto Balendin. With a little luck, Marines FC's Aldo Garin got control of the ball when Ruperto Balendin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mel Raines recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 90 in the game by Ruperto Balendin from a close distance when the talented Aldo Garin managed to make a qualified save. Marines FC's players were relieved. After 92 played minutes Marines FC got a freekick which was hit by Codruț Nițulescu. When the final whistle went the supporters of Maquinchao were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Marines FC side.
