When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fausto Timo made a kick off. After some careless play in the Boca Juniors defense, Ezequiel Romildo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilhelm Morczinietz. The Boca Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilhelm Morczinietz should have stopped the shot. Fabio Eriz might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilhelm Morczinietz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabio Eriz ran back to his position shaking his head.
