Spectators: 7088 (Terracing: 5317, Seating: 1630, VIP seats: 141) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nicasio Abalos took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd match minute, Juvenal Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Iraitz to maneuver through the defense. Luciano Jakobe's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gervasio Eleazar firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 8 minutes Velez Sarsfield's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Amadeo Fe who took care of the corner kick. Ciro Quinton was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Amadeo Fe walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Aureliano Toribio might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ceferino Sanduru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aureliano Toribio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 16th minute, Aquiles Emmanuel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ceferino Sanduru was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Aureliano Toribio put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ceferino Sanduru. In the 24th match minute, Juvenal Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogelio Delfino to maneuver through the defense. Benito Porfiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juvenal Plate's Aquiles Emmanuel got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Velez Sarsfield booed when Juvenal Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aureliano Toribio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aquiles Buinton might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ceferino Sanduru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aquiles Buinton ran back to his position shaking his head. Pastor Jaunzuria kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. When Aureliano Toribio came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Juvenal Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aureliano Toribio couldn't finish the play. After 41 played minutes Velez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Kemen. Rogelio Delfino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Velez Sarsfield's Ceferino Sanduru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Toribio in the 46th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anselmo Chumo during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Velez Sarsfield getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Anselmo Chumo hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Aureliano Toribio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juvenal Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Aureliano Toribio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ceferino Sanduru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Juvenal Plate were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aureliano Toribio to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Juvenal Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Jakobe came free, but Gervasio Eleazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ceferino Sanduru made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Aureliano Toribio sent off a good shot on target. Ceferino Sanduru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aureliano Toribio went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After 68 minutes of play Velez Sarsfield's Anselmo Chumo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Juvenal Plate booed when Velez Sarsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Chumo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aureliano Toribio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ceferino Sanduru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Porfiro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ceferino Sanduru came out and tried to block the shot, but Benito Porfiro slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 71st minute. If Rogelio Delfino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Amadeo Fe reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ceferino Sanduru. The goal made the score 0-5. When Rogelio Delfino came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Juvenal Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Delfino couldn't finish the play. Hernan Iraitz hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Carolo Sendoa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gervasio Eleazar. Juvenal Plate's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nicasio Abalos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Eleazar having to interfere.
