In the 8th match minute, C.A Vergüenza Junior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cirilo Ishmael to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in C.A Vergüenza Junior's zone, Nicky Borginions stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerardo Intxixu came out of the goal and Nicky Borginions tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute Rodolfo Micael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Intxixu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Trejos's Nicky Borginions got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After 23 minutes, Melchor Chan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A Vergüenza Junior and the Trejos players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Trejos booed when C.A Vergüenza Junior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Chan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Comunardo Romanese scored 2-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gerardo Intxixu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hector Conrao in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gerardo Intxixu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 32 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Micael notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of C.A Vergüenza Junior's Gerardo Intxixu. Gerardo Intxixu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Trejos's Mateusz Setara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Trejos from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute, Comunardo Romanese hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute, Daniel Peru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute, Hector Conrao made a precise shot to the right of Gerardo Intxixu. C.A Vergüenza Junior's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hector Conrao to strike the kick off in the second half. Gerardo Intxixu made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Comunardo Romanese sent off a good shot on target. Hector Conrao recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute of the match, Rodolfo Micael got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gerardo Intxixu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Moises Santana put it in 3-4 from a short distance just to the right of Mateusz Setara. In the 65th minute Santos Sayvion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Intxixu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerardo Intxixu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Micael, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Trejos's Comunardo Romanese slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gerardo Intxixu. That made the score 3-5 after 68 minutes of play. Trejos's Mateusz Setara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Santana in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, C.A Vergüenza Junior's goalkeeper Gerardo Intxixu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Comunardo Romanese. C.A Vergüenza Junior's Gerardo Intxixu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santos Sayvion in the 75th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Trejos's Herminio Montrel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gerardo Intxixu. That made the score 3-6 after 77 minutes of play. Gerardo Intxixu was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Herminio Montrel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Herminio Montrel really showed his touch with that goal: 3-7. C.A Vergüenza Junior's Gerardo Intxixu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save C.A Vergüenza Junior from getting a goal against them. Comunardo Romanese could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Gerardo Intxixu made a huge save. Daniel Peru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The C.A Vergüenza Junior fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Trejos were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
