Christian Gartzea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ildefonso Frisco, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Donato Vedillo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Donato Koldo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Galtero in the 13th minute of play forced Club Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Donato Vedillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conrado Galeno's late challenge caught a Catriló FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conrado Galeno helped the player get up and apologised. Conrado Galeno hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Ildefonso Frisco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. A hard shot 22 in the game by Julio Ciceron from a close distance when the talented Donato Vedillo managed to make a qualified save. Club Diablos Rojos's players were relieved. In the 23rd minute, Jimeno Galtero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donato Vedillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julio Ciceron in the 25th minute. Jimeno Galteros short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Donato Vedillo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Gavino Charro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Vedillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Galtero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Catriló FC booed when Club Diablos Rojos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Abaunza didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute Camilo Francesco managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. The referee ignored Catriló FC's protests and gave Gavino Charro a yellow card for diving instead. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Donato Vedillo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Hermengildo Menendo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Diablos Rojos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catriló FC the free kick. A collision led to Club Diablos Rojos getting a freekick after 76 minutes play.
