After having played for 3 minutes, Hernan Lawrence managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carabelas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernan Lawrence was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 4th minute, Hermengildo Menendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Carabelas's Niceto Montrel got control of the ball when Ildefonso Frisco tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ambrosio Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Club Diablos Rojos getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Conrado Galeno hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Club Diablos Rojos defense, Aurelio Eguen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donato Vedillo. The Club Diablos Rojos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donato Vedillo should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Club Diablos Rojos getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Nestor Tadzio hit a great ball. After 18 minutes, Marciano Laffitte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Diablos Rojos and the Carabelas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th minute, Adan Abad ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Donato Vedillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Aurelio Eguen might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donato Vedillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aurelio Eguen ran back to his position shaking his head. Donato Vedillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernan Jaen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ildefonso Frisco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Niceto Montrel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Club Diablos Rojos's Donato Vedillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Eguen in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute Adan Abad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Vedillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Aurelio Eguen came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Carabelas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Eguen couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute Aurelio Eguen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Vedillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernan Jaen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Vedillo having to interfere. After 36 minutes, Aurelio Eguen made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Club Diablos Rojos's Donato Vedillo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute, Nestor Tadzio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Aurelio Eguen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donato Vedillo was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After having played for 45 minutes, Fernan Jaen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Donato Vedillo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelio Eguen's shot from short distance in the 48th minute.

The wind increased when Aurelio Eguen made the kick off in the second half. Niceto Montrel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hermengildo Menendo went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 57 minutes in the game, Aurelio Eguen fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Donato Vedillo having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelio Eguen in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donato Vedillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Niceto Montrel came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Diablos Rojos's Ildefonso Frisco. But to his dismay, Ildefonso Frisco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The audience was convinced that Aurelio Eguen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donato Vedillo was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Fernan Jaen's late challenge caught a Club Diablos Rojos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernan Jaen helped the player get up and apologised. After 70 played minutes Carabelas got a freekick which was hit by Fernan Jaen. Club Diablos Rojos's Donato Vedillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Eguen in the 72nd minute of play. Hernan Lawrence received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Donato Vedillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conrado Galeno's late challenge caught a Carabelas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conrado Galeno helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th match minute, Club Diablos Rojos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Galeno to maneuver through the defense. If Hernan Lawrence had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Carabelas's Aurelio Eguen in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Diablos Rojos's goalie prevented a goal. Fernan Jaen might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donato Vedillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernan Jaen ran back to his position shaking his head. Donato Vedillo was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Aurelio Eguen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aurelio Eguen really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. Donato Vedillo came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Carabelas's Aurelio Eguen. But to his dismay, Aurelio Eguen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. Adan Abad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carabelas's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
