In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carabelas's goalkeeper Niceto Montrel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rodolfo Micael could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Niceto Montrel made a huge save. With 21 minutes on the clock, Nicky Borginions commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to Trejos getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Carabelas's Niceto Montrel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Carabelas from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes into the match, Carabelas's goalkeeper Niceto Montrel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santos Sayvion. Carabelas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Comunardo Romanese scored to the left of an out of position Niceto Montrel, making the score, 2-0. Venancio Quintyn kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Aurelio Eguen made the kick off in the second half. Niceto Montrel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Comunardo Romanese, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 63 played minutes Carabelas got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Vellito. In the 66th minute, Aurelio Eguen fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurelio Eguen got free with Mateusz Setara in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 74 minutes into the match, Trejos's goalkeeper Mateusz Setara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adan Abad. A collision led to Carabelas getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Hernan Lawrence hit a great ball. The supporters of Trejos booed when Carabelas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Lawrence didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niceto Montrel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Micael in the 83rd minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Micael couldn't finish the play. Fernan Jaen hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Niceto Montrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Micael, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 91 minutes of play, Trejos's Comunardo Romanese made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Niceto Montrel was left in no man's land by his defense there!
