After having played for 5 minutes, Paulino Nofre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Matadores FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulino Nofre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 9 minutes into the game, when Melquiades Azubeli put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Los Matadores FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 11 minutes, Palmitas's Fabio Michael got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Filiberto Caradaro. After 15 played minutes Palmitas got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Alvarez. 19 minutes into the match, Los Matadores FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Galsino came free, but Filiberto Caradaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filiberto Caradaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santo Hodei, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Santo Hodei who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Filiberto Caradaro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Santo Hodei might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filiberto Caradaro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Santo Hodei ran back to his position shaking his head. Romulo Alvarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Caradaro having to interfere. Filiberto Caradaro was a little too slow when Mauricio Galsino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 2-0. Mauricio Galsino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santo Hodei blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filiberto Caradaro having to make a save. In the 56th minute Mauricio Galsino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiberto Caradaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amancio Chico during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Santo Hodei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Filiberto Caradaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Paulino Nofre came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Los Matadores FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulino Nofre couldn't finish the play. Santo Hodei struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Filiberto Caradaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmitas.
