With a left leg Americo Cefero saved Herrera FC from getting behind. In the 9th minute, Rodrigo Unai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Herrera FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Americo Cefero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dionisio Vedillo's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. A nice corner shot did that Dionisio Vedillo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Americo Cefero quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Dionisio Vedillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. hiroshima's supporters rose to their feet, but Dionisio Vedillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Americo Cefero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute, Leo Basajaun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ceferino Errando struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Americo Cefero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for hiroshima. In the 20th minute Dionisio Vedillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Americo Cefero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Herrera FC's Eriberto Panpili got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Dionisio Vedillo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Americo Cefero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dionisio Vedillo scored 1-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Americo Cefero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Dionisio Vedillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 36th minute Alfredo Mederi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Americo Cefero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ceferino Errando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Placido Hats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Americo Cefero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of hiroshima booed when Herrera FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Basajaun didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44thth minute of the game Dionisio Vedillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Herrera FC's Americo Cefero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 46th minute Elias Cebrian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabricio Azibar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dionisio Vedillo made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in hiroshima's zone, Elias Cebrian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabricio Azibar came out of the goal and Elias Cebrian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57thth minute of the game Dionisio Vedillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Herrera FC's Americo Cefero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dionisio Vedillo took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Americo Cefero. Americo Cefero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. When Ceferino Errando came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the hiroshima fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ceferino Errando couldn't finish the play. After 71 minutes, Dionisio Vedillo made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Herrera FC's Americo Cefero tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Herrera FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Rodrigo Unai hit a great ball. Americo Cefero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Vedillo in the 76th minute of play. hiroshima's Dionisio Vedillo got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
