The supporters of Naipe FC booed when Gaona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Clodio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcos Papo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Melquiades Eron. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Marcos Papo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 20th playminute. Melquiades Eron made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Papo in the 28th minute. If Marcos Papo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benigno Geleberto hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Marcos Papo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Eron having to interfere. Israel Charro kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. If Marcos Papo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Epifanio Romano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Melquiades Eron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erubiel Isidor was the one to do the kick off. Marcos Papo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Melquiades Eron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 54 minutes, Epifanio Romano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gaona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Epifanio Romano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th minute, Marcos Papo made a precise shot to the right of Melquiades Eron. Naipe FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 62nd minute, Atilano Enetz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Papo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Melquiades Eron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaona's Epifanio Romano got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Marcos Papo made a precise shot to the right of Melquiades Eron. Naipe FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Epifanio Romano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Marcos Papo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gaona's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Papo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melquiades Eron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angel Eliu in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melquiades Eron prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gaona's Yuriy Hasainov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erubiel Isidor in the 79th minute of play. When Nereo Paublo fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Naipe FC's protests and gave Nereo Paublo a yellow card for diving instead. Gaona's Eleuterio Nuxila was substituted for Angel Eliu. In the 84th minute there was a penalty for Gaona. Marcos Papo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Melquiades Eron. 5-0. When Celedonio Ubendu fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gaona's protests and gave Celedonio Ubendu a yellow card for diving instead. 90 minutes into the game, Gaona's Epifanio Romano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melquiades Eron made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Marcos Papo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Melquiades Eron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 98 minutes into the match, Naipe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eleuterio Nuxila came free, but Melquiades Eron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melquiades Eron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Papo in the 99th minute of the match. Gaona walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
