Dario Panpili kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When 汪云霆 fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gaona's protests and gave 汪云霆 a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 played minutes Gaona got a freekick which was hit by 汪云霆. Yuriy Hasainov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sergio Abeijon in the 18th minute. Angel Eliu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos Papo took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aquilino Avellaneda. Aquilino Avellaneda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Angel Eliu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Epifanio Romano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aquilino Avellaneda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Aquilino Avellaneda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Gaona were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Marcos Papo scored 0-3 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aquilino Avellaneda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcos Papo struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Aquilino Avellaneda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gaona. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos Papo got free with Aquilino Avellaneda in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Sergio Abeijon fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zezi FC's protests and gave Sergio Abeijon a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes Zezi FC got a freekick which was hit by Hilario Luar. When Epifanio Romano came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Gaona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Epifanio Romano couldn't finish the play. Marcos Papo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Papo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Avellaneda having to interfere.
