Marcos Papo took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Melquiades Eron. Melquiades Eron dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Yuriy Hasainov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erubiel Isidor, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. A collision led to Naipe FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Israel Charro hit a great ball. Melquiades Eron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Eliu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Epifanio Romano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gaona's Marcos Papo got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Nereo Paublo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Naipe FC booed when Gaona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Isauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marcos Papo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Naipe FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Gaona a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marcos Papo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Naipe FC's Melquiades Eron. 0-2. 43 minutes into the game, Marcos Papo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Melquiades Eron was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcos Papo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Naipe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicasio Duardo to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Papo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Eron having to interfere. After 88 played minutes Naipe FC got a freekick which was hit by Israel Charro. Melquiades Eron made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Marcos Papo sent off a good shot on target. Epifanio Romano succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 95th playminute. When the match was over Gaona could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Naipe FC throughout the match.
