The referee showed Faustino Dacio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd match minute, New World was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Dacio to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute, Patricio Guillelme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Hugo Vellito fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luque's protests and gave Hugo Vellito a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Hugo Vellito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silvano Oidor to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Luque! Håkan Jonsson had in the 52ndth minute some difficulties stopping Silvano Oidor's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball If Adrian Romo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. New World's Conrado Weather played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvano Olo in the 81st minute of play. Hugo Vellito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Luque's goalkeeper Håkan Jonsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Hugo Vellito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched New World eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
