Puelén's Alberto Jerrald proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Puelén from getting a goal against them. Alberto Jerrald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Matthew, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Agustín Saha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Mattin in the 22nd minute of the match. The C.A. Independiente fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when C.A. Independiente's Rodolfo Matthew looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 33 minutes into the match, Puelén's Elvio Fliz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Agustín Saha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Lluterio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Puelén's Alberto Jerrald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Matthew in the 41st minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After having played for 50 minutes, Julio Lluterio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julio Lluterio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agustín Saha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Froilan Laurentzi went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. Independiente's goalkeeper Agustín Saha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 60th minute of the game Gaudencio Ceandro made a throw-in which Pablo Sengrat played forward. In the 65th match minute, Puelén was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernabe Tajo to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the game, C.A. Independiente's Paulo Salvadore nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alberto Jerrald made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Eulalio Darien might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberto Jerrald. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eulalio Darien ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of C.A. Independiente booed when Puelén was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Dacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Jerrald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eulalio Darien, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 79th match minute, Puelén was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignacio Mattin to maneuver through the defense. If Paulo Salvadore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute Rodolfo Matthew shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Jerrald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, C.A. Independiente's Erubiel Ibar got a free kick in the 85th minute. A collision led to Puelén getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Bernabe Tajo hit a great ball. Alberto Jerrald didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodolfo Matthew went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. C.A. Independiente walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
