The supporters of Katrinita fc booed when Santillán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benigno Godoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danilo Austin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Modesto Polentzi's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Katrinita fc's Placido Egoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Godoy in the 20th minute of play. Placido Egoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aureliano Nahia, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 23 played minutes Katrinita fc got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Jaen. Katrinita fc's Placido Egoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Opilano in the 28th minute of play. Arturo Natal hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Aureliano Nahia took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Placido Egoitz. Placido Egoitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Santillán's zone, Modesto Polentzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Austin came out of the goal and Modesto Polentzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Placido Egoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Opilano, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 40th match minute, Santillán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Opilano to maneuver through the defense. Danilo Austin made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Modesto Polentzi sent off a good shot on target. Danilo Austin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maximo Nataniel went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Nahia in the 48th minute of play forced Katrinita fc's goalkeeper Placido Egoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aureliano Nahia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Placido Egoitz came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Santillán's Bruno Opilano. But to his dismay, Bruno Opilano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 55th match minute, Santillán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Natal to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Modesto Polentzi in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danilo Austin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th minute Aureliano Nahia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Egoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Opilano got free with Placido Egoitz in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Danilo Austin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Modesto Polentzi in the 75th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Santillán's Bruno Opilano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Placido Egoitz. That made the score 1-7 after 79 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentin Caetano during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Katrinita fc's Valentin Caetano got a free kick in the 81st minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 82 minutes into the game, when Eustacio Luzaide put in a rough tackle. In the 85th minute, Santillán's Aureliano Nahia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Placido Egoitz. Placido Egoitz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8. Katrinita fc's Placido Egoitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Katrinita fc from getting a goal against them. Placido Egoitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Opilano in the 91st minute. 92 minutes into the match, Katrinita fc's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Natal came free, but Placido Egoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 98 minutes, Placido Egoitz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Santillán's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
