Potrerillo FC's Everardo Abella got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaime Niguel charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaime Niguel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Durañona getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Jaime Niguel hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute, Rogelio Inko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mariusz Pstrongowski fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Durañona's protests and gave Mariusz Pstrongowski a yellow card for diving instead. If Everardo Abella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erubiel Stephen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Everardo Abella struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Elias Tonete didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Potrerillo FC. In a very dangerous position, a player in Durañona fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 38th minute. Penalty! Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariusz Pstrongowski made a kick off. A collision led to Durañona getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Rogelio Inko hit a great ball. Potrerillo FC's attentive Feliberto Kinsen managed to snatch the ball when Rogelio Inko made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. Honorio Iban charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Honorio Iban the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 64 minutes into the match, Potrerillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mariusz Pstrongowski came free, but Delmiro Felo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Mariusz Pstrongowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Durañona's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariusz Pstrongowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delmiro Felo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Everardo Abella came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Potrerillo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Everardo Abella couldn't finish the play. When Oscar Aguilera fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Potrerillo FC's protests and gave Oscar Aguilera a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th minute, Oscar Aguilera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute, Honorio Iban left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Durañona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Everardo Abella recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th minute, Everardo Abella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute, Everardo Abella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Everardo Abella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honorio Cefero hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Potrerillo FC played a much better game than Durañona and deserved their victory. The Durañona players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
