Donato Ekhi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Frechoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Berbiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CHACARITA's Justo Mingo was substituted for Leandro Manuelo.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paolo Baldovino to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Rodrigo Semeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Ekhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Justo Mingo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Justo Mingo missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 66 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Laureano Llin right hand side. Rigoberto Bento, 78 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Felipe Gartxot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Laureano Llin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over CHACARITA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rosario Central throughout the match.
