The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bernardino Inko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Txilar, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Abel Telmo hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Palos in the 13th minute of play forced Club Bella Vista's goalkeeper Clodoveo Sustrai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Club Bella Vista's goal looked a bit too open when Gelu Covaci came free, but Clodoveo Sustrai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Club Bella Vista's goal looked a bit too open when Jocelyn Lang came free, but Clodoveo Sustrai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Club Bella Vista's Clodoveo Sustrai got control of the ball when Gelu Covaci tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Victor Palos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Clodoveo Sustrai, 2-1. 30 minutes into the match, Arnulfo Txilar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardino Inko. Palominos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnulfo Txilar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wiliam Meirelles during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 34 played minutes Club Bella Vista got a freekick which was hit by Wiliam Meirelles. Clodoveo Sustrai made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Victor Palos sent off a good shot on target. In the 39th minute, Club Bella Vista's Joel Sidoro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Joel Sidoro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Club Bella Vista protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Joel Sidoro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Club Bella Vista:s Clodoveo Sustrai showed great skill when he stopped Victor Palos:s penalty. Honorio Ostadar kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Palominos FC booed when Club Bella Vista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Telmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Clodoveo Sustrai showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Clodoveo Sustrai was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. In the 88th minute, Durval Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Palominos FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
