Andres Gilabert started the match with the kick off. After 9 minutes, Durval Mendonça made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Marginados FC's Juan Carlos Olave tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Marginados FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Andres Gilabert in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Txilar in the 34th minute of play forced Marginados FC's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Olave to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Carlos Olave made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Txilar in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Marginados FC's zone, Arnulfo Txilar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Carlos Olave came out of the goal and Arnulfo Txilar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Club Bella Vista were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

51 minutes into the match, Marginados FC's goal looked a bit too open when Filomeno Aragones came free, but Juan Carlos Olave reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnulfo Txilar might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Carlos Olave. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnulfo Txilar ran back to his position shaking his head. After 60 played minutes Marginados FC got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Maju. With a little luck, Marginados FC's Juan Carlos Olave got control of the ball when Arnulfo Txilar tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Marginados FC's Haroldo Stanislao got a free kick in the 67th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Lucio Maju managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marginados FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucio Maju was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clodoveo Sustrai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Club Bella Vista's Abel Telmo got a free kick in the 81st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Andres Gilabert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marginados FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andres Gilabert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clodoveo Sustrai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnulfo Txilar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Juan Carlos Olave tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Durval Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Bella Vista's Arnulfo Txilar got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnulfo Txilar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Juan Carlos Olave made a huge save. The Club Bella Vista supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Bella Vista would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
