Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erubiel Tavio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cayetano Lia in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute Cayetano Lia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Tavio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cayetano Lia scored 9-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erubiel Tavio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Matambre FC had played much better football throughout.
