Leopoldo Mingo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Inocencio Rumaldo went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Leopoldo Mingo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inocencio Rumaldo in the 28th minute of play. Lino Modestio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciriaco Jakes in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, C.A El Ideal's Victor Efren got a free kick in the 42nd minute. C.A El Ideal's Leopoldo Mingo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inocencio Rumaldo in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ciriaco Jakes to strike the kick off in the second half. The Escalante FC fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Escalante FC's Bartolo Mero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, C.A El Ideal's Leopoldo Mingo got control of the ball when Inocencio Rumaldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 60th minute there was a penalty for Escalante FC. Antonio Pepillo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Leopoldo Mingo. 0-4. A collision led to C.A El Ideal getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Jonas Nuñez hit a great ball. Leopoldo Mingo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Ishmael in the 63rd minute of the match. Inocencio Rumaldo might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leopoldo Mingo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Inocencio Rumaldo ran back to his position shaking his head. Eduardo Belasko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lino Modestio having to make a save. Jonas Nuñez struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Lino Modestio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A El Ideal. If Eduardo Belasko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Efren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Modestio having to interfere. In the 82nd minute Eduardo Belasko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Modestio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas Nuñez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lino Modestio having to make a save. In the 85th match minute, Escalante FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Atarrabi to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Belasko in the 89th minute of play forced Escalante FC's goalkeeper Lino Modestio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, C.A El Ideal's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Ishmael came free, but Leopoldo Mingo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduardo Belasko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Escalante FC's Mauricio Ishmael suffered a sore thigh after 96 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 96 minutes into the game, Ciriaco Jakes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A El Ideal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Escalante FC the free kick. The supporters of Escalante FC booed when C.A El Ideal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciriaco Jakes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Although C.A El Ideal had been in control for most of the match, Escalante FC still came away with the win.
