After 22 minutes, Rafael Luke made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. El Guardián del Alcón's Prudencio Orlandus tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 26 minutes, Tadeo Cristos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Guardián del Alcón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeo Cristos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 29 played minutes Versailles AFC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Lobo. After a defensive mix-up in Versailles AFC's zone, Anastasio Kusko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conrado Rubio came out of the goal and Anastasio Kusko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute, Rafael Luke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute, Anacleto Cordera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Versailles AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Omar Saturnin to strike the kick off in the second half. El Guardián del Alcón's Anastasio Kusko was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Conrado Rubio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 56 minutes, Tadeo Cristos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Guardián del Alcón and the Versailles AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute, Tadeo Cristos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the El Guardián del Alcón defense, Dario Lawrence kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Prudencio Orlandus. The El Guardián del Alcón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Prudencio Orlandus should have stopped the shot. Martin Karmel's late challenge caught a Versailles AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Karmel helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Versailles AFC booed when El Guardián del Alcón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Karmel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anacleto Cordera's late challenge caught a Versailles AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anacleto Cordera helped the player get up and apologised. Angelino Estavan fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 68th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. 78 minutes into the match, El Guardián del Alcón's goalkeeper Prudencio Orlandus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dario Lawrence. Anacleto Cordera got his second yellow card in the match during the 81st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 82nd minute, Anacleto Cordera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, El Guardián del Alcón's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Luke came free, but Prudencio Orlandus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oscar Demesio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Conrado Rubio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 89 played minutes Rafael Luke rounded El Guardián del Alcón's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-5. If Oscar Demesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prudencio Orlandus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Luke in the 96th minute of the match. The Versailles AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Versailles AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
